You know how someone can write an article that could be considered the penultimate or seminal statement on the subject? Well, Cecilia Dahl wrote what I consider to be the seminal piece on being upscale in the demimonde. I cannot add much more to it nor would I take anything away. So be sure to read it.
What I will say is that for me, being upscale is not about trying to elevate myself above others in some vain and silly attempt at snobbery. However, I have lived a lifestyle since my youth that won’t be cast aside in my work as an escort simply because escorting is mistakenly considered to be “disgraceful” by the sexually prudish society in which we live. I have my likes and dislikes, expectations and minimum requirements. High maintenance, sure, but I don’t think that’s always a bad thing. I know others who are much more demanding and whether or not this is valid is extremely subjective.
But upscale is less about rates and more about behavior and personality. Leaving positive and delightful impressions, which goes for both escort and client, is what builds relationships regardless of their length or emotional depth. This is built on the foundation of not having a staged persona that I struggle to keep up, in addition to being courteous, magnetic, graceful, and witty: intimate authenticity.
